MADAGASCAR!
BIRDS & LEMURS November 23 - December 14, 2024 In association with Bird’s Wildlife & Nature LTD of Plymouth, England Often referred to as the eighth continent of the world, Madagascar broke away from Africa over 95 million years ago, creating an oasis of endemic wildlife found no where else on earth. With more than 120 endemic birds and an ever growing list of endemic mammals and reptiles, Madagascar has become one of the biggest attractions in international birding and a place that all naturalists want to visit at least once in their life. This fantastic three week itinerary offers the best possibility at seeing a large number of the endemic birds like the Scaly Ground Roller, Blue Vanga and the critically endangered Bernier’s Teal. Madagascar has always been famed worldwide for its unique mammals and we hope to see a number of these ranging from the large Indri to the smaller nocturnal Lemurs, the incredibly rare Golden Bamboo Lemur and the famous Ring-tailed Lemur.
